There is also a slight click lag at times resulting in inadvertent double clicking. Just attempting to click the "X" (close) button to close a window is difficult as the cursor often stutters and jumps to either the maximise or minimise button instead. The cursor stutters and lags frequently with this mouse and it is impossible to move the cursor to the desired position with any kind of precision.

In summary, this mouse is not capable of moving the cursor around the screen smoothly and therefore it is a complete and utter failure as a mouse. Purchased in February 2021 at Officeworks Physical store.

This is a really poor show even by Microsoft standards. What are they doing?! Even in the mid 1980s on my 5MHz 8086 - having a mouse installed didn't cause this kind of slowdown. This load abruptly stops if you pick the mouse up of the surface and put it back down again). The other odd thing I noticed is that it has big effect on CPU usage when it is having issues (upto 15% load on a 6core 3.21GHz processor. I have tried replacing batteries, moving the wireless receiver closer, cleaning everything, reinstalling drivers, etc. I can understand why they have discontinued this mouse as it is a shocking waste of money I am only writing the review as a warning in case there is old stock floating around! But no seems to be an issue with the mouse itself.Īlso if anything, dust, an eyelash, etc manages to get under your mouse then don't expect it to work at all.

Read more initially that it may be an issue with my drivers or even my graphics card. But the problem reinstates its self within minutes. This can be temporarily resolved by picking the mouse up and putting it down again. The motion is very jerky in that it moves to approximately the right place on the screen but doesn't do any of the steps in-between. Really don't buy this mouse! It came as part of a mouse keyboard combo but is a considerable waste of money as I am going to have to buy a replacement due to a problem with the design.ĭespite advertising that this works on every surface it barely works on any surface!
